What the guarantee means

A clear answer,
from the start.

The GreenReady Guarantee brings limited workmanship coverage for the work identified in your written project warranty together with the separate manufacturer warranties for your selected products. Coverage, duration and available remedies depend on those documents. GreenReady is your starting point for questions about the project, the records and the next step in a coverage review.

Roofing · Residential + commercial

01 / INSTALLATION

Workmanship

Review the roofing work and installation details included in your GreenReady project warranty.

02 / PRODUCTS

Manufacturer

Match the selected roof covering, underlayment, coatings and other components to their manufacturer terms. A tile or shingle warranty does not automatically cover the entire assembly.

03 / YOUR RECORDS

Keep together

Roof-system specification, written workmanship warranty, manufacturer certificates and any registration records.

For metal, distinguish substrate, finish and weather-tightness terms. Commercial and low-slope guarantees depend on the specified assembly and issued program.

Prepare my roofing review

Coverage varies by the actual work, product, warranty edition and enrolled program. These are review guides; your project and manufacturer documents supply the terms.

GreenReady limited workmanship warranty

Stand behind the work.
Put the details in writing.

Workmanship is about how covered work is installed or performed. GreenReady’s limited workmanship warranty applies to the work identified in the written warranty for your project.

The term comes from your project warranty. Ask for that document before signing, or contact us for help finding the warranty that applies to completed work.

Ask for my warranty documents

This page is a coverage guide. It does not replace or expand your signed warranty or the manufacturer’s terms, or limit rights available under applicable law.

YOUR WRITTEN WARRANTY / SIX ESSENTIALS

The work + the term

Which work is included, when coverage starts and how long it lasts.

The remedy + the limits

What the warranty provider will do for a covered issue, and the stated conditions or exclusions.

The notice + the next step

Who receives a concern, how to report it and any applicable documentation or deadline.

Strength behind the products

Made easier to understand.

Start with the warranty for the product you actually own or are considering. These examples help you ask better questions about the coverage in your proposal.

REC

SOLAR PANELS

20 / 25 years

Product + power. Enhanced options.

REC’s standard coverage provides 20 years for product and 25 for power. Eligible REC ProTrust installations can add enhanced coverage, including labor, subject to installer, registration and system-size requirements.

Ask for the certificate applicable to your project; ProTrust is not automatic.

Qcells

Q.TRON G2+ SERIES

25 years

Product + performance coverage.

The October 2025 North American warranty for the listed Q.TRON G2+ models provides 25-year product and performance terms. That document excludes dismantling and installation reimbursement.

Match the model, purchase records and warranty edition to your panels.

Tesla Powerwall

BATTERY STORAGE

10 years

Defects + defined capacity retention.

Tesla’s U.S. Powerwall warranty includes ten-year defect coverage and capacity-retention terms. Operating conditions matter; approved repairs can include reasonable installer labor reimbursement under Tesla’s policies.

Use the warranty edition and listed part numbers that apply to your installation.

Enphase

MICROINVERTERS + BATTERIES

By model

Identify each system component.

Review the applicable terms for your IQ microinverters, IQ Battery, gateway and controls. Confirm any labor reimbursement or separate labor plan, as well as product registration and operating requirements.

Start with the exact equipment model and the warranty supplied with your project.

GAF

SHINGLE ROOFING

By program

The warranty tier makes a difference.

GAF distinguishes standard product coverage from enhanced programs that may include workmanship. Qualifying components, installer eligibility, building ownership and program requirements affect the available coverage.

An enhanced GAF warranty applies only when the project qualifies and the applicable warranty is issued.

Eagle Roofing Products

CONCRETE ROOF TILE

Tile-specific

Separate the tile from the roof system.

Eagle’s warranty addresses qualifying tile-manufacturing defects. Its technical guidance distinguishes tile coverage from installation workmanship and other roof-system components; remedies can change over time.

Request the full applicable tile warranty alongside the separate roof installation warranty.

Another brand, a metal or flat roof, windows, doors or electrical equipment?

Ask GreenReady for the manufacturer, model and warranty edition for every specified product. Confirm separate finish, glass, hardware, accessory and roof-system programs where relevant. The examples above do not confirm that an enhanced program is included in your project.

Sources checked . Manufacturer documents can change; your installation may be governed by an earlier edition.

A Southwest Florida perspective

Compare the coverage.
Then compare the years.

A long warranty headline tells only part of the story. When comparing roofing, solar and home-improvement proposals in Sarasota, Manatee and Southwest Florida, put these four details side by side.

    Who backs it?

The installer, the product manufacturer or a separately enrolled program.

  2. 02

    What is included?

The actual components, installation work and any labor allowance.

  3. 03

    What changes the coverage?

Registration, property type, coastal exposure, care and ownership transfer.

  4. 04

    How does support begin?

Notice requirements, documentation and any proposed service costs.

Local warranty benchmark · How this guide was informed

Published Southwest Florida examples show different approaches: Steadfast describes a contractor workmanship term; Roofing by Curry markets enhanced manufacturer-backed workmanship; Kelly Roofing provides a warranty-claim intake with conditions; Florida Solar Design Group explains why covered solar hardware and replacement labor can differ. These are selected examples, not a universal regional standard or a GreenReady coverage promise.

Ask GreenReady

The GreenReady Guarantee brings limited workmanship coverage for the work identified in your written project warranty together with the separate manufacturer warranties for your selected products. Coverage, duration and available remedies depend on those documents. GreenReady is your starting point for questions about the project, the records and the next step in a coverage review.

The applicable term is the one identified in your written GreenReady project warranty. It can depend on the service and covered scope. Ask for the term, start date, covered work, remedy and notice process before signing. If you already own a GreenReady project, contact the team for help locating the applicable documents.

It depends on the warranty and any enrolled program. Some provide only a product remedy; others include a defined labor allowance or eligible labor benefit. Diagnosis, travel, access, shipping, removal and reinstallation may be treated separately. Review the applicable terms and any proposed service charges before authorizing work.

No. Each selected product or roof-system program has its own terms. Tile coverage may address tile defects; metal warranties may separate substrate, finish and weather-tightness; shingle programs can have distinct product and workmanship tiers. Flat, low-slope and commercial roofs require the warranty for the specified assembly and building. Request the exact documents for your proposal.

A panel performance warranty describes the manufacturer’s defined output commitment under its testing conditions. It does not automatically guarantee annual system production, household savings or utility rates. Weather, shading, equipment operation, consumption and utility rules affect real-world results. Any separate project performance promise must be identified in writing.

Not automatically. The detach-and-reset work has its own agreed scope, while the existing equipment remains subject to its original applicable terms. Review equipment condition, manufacturer handling and reinstallation requirements, and the covered new work before the project. A repair or replacement may carry only the remainder of an original warranty.

Do not assume they do. Warranty coverage depends on the cause of the issue and the written terms; storm, flooding, salt exposure and maintenance conditions can be addressed differently by each product warranty. A wind or impact rating is not insurance coverage. Document the concern safely and review the warranty and your property-insurance terms separately.

Transferability depends on the particular workmanship warranty or manufacturer program. Some documents specify eligibility, deadlines, registration steps or fees, and coverage may change for a subsequent owner. Before a sale or purchase, obtain the actual certificates and ask each warranty provider to confirm the applicable process.

Call 941-315-7760 or use GreenReady’s contact page. Share the project address, approximate completion date, service performed and what you noticed. Add warranty records, equipment details and photos if available. A review request is not a coverage decision or a confirmed appointment. Follow any separate notice instructions and deadlines in your applicable warranty documents.

Start with the information you have. GreenReady can discuss whether a service evaluation fits the equipment and location. Service availability and manufacturer eligibility require review. GreenReady’s workmanship warranty does not automatically extend to another contractor’s work, and a new service visit does not create blanket coverage for an existing system.
